Men's Tennis Falls at Wake Forest

Winston-Salem, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College men's tennis team dropped their Div. 1 match at Wake Forest University 7-0 on Friday evening.

This was Wesleyan's toughest opponent in a long time facing a top ACC team and they battled hard, but could not come up with any individual victories.

Freshman John Falke won the most games of any individual Bishop at #3 singles winning six total games as he lost 6-2, 6-4. Sophomore Augusto Roca and junior Max Robinson also won a total of four games in their #4 and #5 matches as well. 

Juniors Juan Vallejo and Jhonny Acosta fell 6-1 at the top doubles line while the duo of Falke and Robinson fell 6-2 at the second line. The third doubles pairing of Roca and sophomore Valentin Ancieto then fell 6-3.

The men (0-2) will next face their first D-3 opponent of the season on Saturday and Sunday when they head to Tennessee to battle Sewanee Univ. at 3 pm on Saturday and 10 am on Sunday.
