ORLANDO, FL - NC Wesleyan men's tennis senior All-American Jhonny Acosta , the ITA Regional and Conference Champion, was seeded 6th in the NCAA Division III Individual Championships when the brackets were released on Wednesday evening.
Acosta (18-5 on the season) will open his championship tournament when he battles the #2 player from Case Western Reserve, Vishwa Aduru, at 8:45 AM on Friday morning from the USTA National Tennis Center in Orlando, Fla. Acosta previously defeated the top player from Case Western, #3 James Hopper, in straight sets back in April when the Bishops battled the Spartans.
If Acosta wins his first round match he will then advance to his second round to be played on Friday afternoon at 1:00 PM. The Quarterfinals are Saturday morning followed by the Semifinals Saturday afternoon.
