MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College softball team dropped the first game of their conference doubleheader with Pfeiffer University 10-2 on the road Saturday. Wesleyan then fell 6-1 in game two.

Pfeiffer used a 7-run third inning to propel themselves to an 8-0 lead after 3 innings in game one. The Bishops would then score two runs in the 4th on a Beth Braswell sacrifice fly and a Shelby Godwin RBI single.

However, Pfeiffer (24-3) would put the game out of reach with a two-run 6th inning off Braswell. She ended up throwing 5 and 2/3 innings allowing 9 hits and 10 runs (only 3 earned) on 5 walks and 4 strikeouts to fall to 9-3.

The top of the order, senior Hannah Ivester, sophomore Nichole Mooney, and catcher Kayla Molivas all led with multi-hit games as they all went 2 for 3 with Molivas hitting the lone extra-base hit.
