Title: Assistant Softball/Pitching Coach

Libby Fulford Weaver enters her 6th season as Pitching Coach with the North Carolina Wesleyan softball program. After traveling extensively for work, she returned to her hometown and alma mater in 2017. Coach Brackett hired her shortly afterwards to coach the Battling Bishop pitchers and catchers.

As an undergraduate, Weaver was a First Team All-Conference pitcher for NCWC in 2008 after garnering USA South Rookie Pitcher of the Year accolades in 2005. A three-time Most Valuable Player for head coach John Brackett, she was also named Wesleyan's Female Student-Athlete of the Year on three occasions. Weaver owns numerous pitching records for the Bishops, including strikeouts in a season (158) and career (472), saves in a season (4) and career (7), appearances (107), and innings pitched (577.0).

Weaver was inducted into her high school's, Southwest Edgecombe, Hall of Fame in May of 2022 where she was a standout in women’s tennis and softball. She was 4x All Conference winner in tennis and softball, Female Athlete of the Year her junior year, a 4x scholar athlete, and Female Scholar Athlete her senior year. She still holds the school record for strikeouts and was awarded the North Carolina High School Heisman her junior year.

A summa cum laude graduate, Weaver received her B.S. in Exercise Science from Wesleyan in 2008. She went on to earn her doctorate in physical therapy from East Tennessee State University and works locally treating patients in the comfort of their homes. Her and her husband Jordan currently reside in Tarboro, NC.
