Bishop Women Drop Two Matches at Kenyon

Gambier, Ohio - The Battling Bishop women's tennis team opened its 2012 season over the weekend, dropping a pair of matches to talented Case Western University and Kenyon College squads.

On Saturday versus Case, the Spartans handed Wesleyan an 8-1 loss. Freshman Yvonne Kamegne tallied the Bishops' lone point with a three-set win at #2 singles over CWU's Marianne Bonnano 5-7, 6-3, 10-5.

Wesleyan's schedule didn't get any easier on Sunday as Kenyon turned in a 9-0 sweep. NCWC's Bristy Parker narrowly missed a win at #5 singles in a 7-6, 7-6 defeat.

Now 0-2 on the season, the Bishops will open up the home portion of their schedule on February 25th when they host Guilford College at 1:00pm.
