Women's Tennis Rolls at William Peace, 9-0

Rocky Mount, N.C. - The women's tennis team of North Carolina Wesleyan gave up just two games in doubles action and three games in singles play en route to a dominating 9-0 victory at William Peace University on Wednesday. The USA South sweep gives the Bishops a 2-1 mark in league play.

Wesleyan raced out to a quick lead in doubles action as the top-seeded duo of Samia Kacher and Kristin Seidel teamed for an 8-1 win at the top seed. Freshmen Yvonne Kamegne and Bibhuti Baral were also 8-1 winners at the #3 seed, while juniors Tori Jones and Bristy Parker turned in an 8-0 victory at the #2 seed.

Singles play saw Kamegne, Seidel, Jones and Parker all post 6-0, 6-0 wins at #1, #3, #4 and #5, respectively.  Kacher surrendered just one game at the 2nd seed, and Baral was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at the 6th position.

The Battling Bishops (3-7) return to action next Tuesday at Christopher Newport University. The match is slated for a noon start in Newport News, Va.
