Bishop Women Blank Mary Baldwin, 9-0

Staunton, Va. - North Carolina Wesleyan surrendered just one game over six singles matches and two games in doubles play en route to a dominating 9-0 sweep of Mary Baldwin on Friday afternoon.

The USA South win leaves the Bishops with a 7-1 conference mark heading into NCWC's regular season finale with Methodist, which was suspended on Wednesday afternoon with the Bishops leading two of three doubles matches still in progress. Play will resume on Monday at 3:30pm. A win clinches a three-way tie atop the USA South women's standings.

Previously on Thursday, Wesleyan (8-8) dropped a 6-3 decision to Division II Mt. Olive College. Freshmen Yvonne Kamegne and Michelle Hart teamed for an 8-3 win at #2 doubles, while Hart and junior Bristy Parker posted straight-set wins at #4 and #6 singles.
