Bishop Women Honor Seniors, Down Pride 8-1

Rocky Mount, N.C. - On Senior Day at the Slick Family Foundation Tennis Center, the N.C. Wesleyan women's tennis team closed out its regular season schedule with a dominating 8-1 win over Greensboro College. Prior to the match, first-year head coach Worth Richardson honored his four seniors: Tori Jones, Samia Kacher, Bristy Parker and Tija Riley.

The four proceeded to help Wesleyan open up a 3-0 lead with a doubles sweep, while Jones, Parker and Riley went on to secure straight-set singles wins at the #2 through #4 seeds, respectively.

Previously on Saturday, Wesleyan dropped a match to USA South regular season champion Methodist University by the same score. Kacher secured Wesleyan's lone point with a 7-5, 6-4 singles win at the top seed.

With a 5-6 record in league play, the Bishops will be seeded 7th at next weekend's conference tournament, which will be held on Wesleyan's campus Friday, April 12 through Sunday, April 14. Wesleyan will take on 2nd-seeded Christopher Newport on Friday at 2:00pm.
