ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College women's tennis team picked up a title from sophomore Fariza Abdulloeva at their Bishop Invitational over the weekend at the Slick Family Tennis Center.
Fariza won four matches in straight sets to take the title defeating Chowan 6-4, 6-0, two Mount Olive foes 6-0, 6-2 and 6-2, 6-0 and finally a third Mount Olive opponent in the finals 6-4, 6-2.
Freshman Kimia Rahmani then won the consolation title of the Women's B Singles draw by defeating a Mount Olive and Shaw opponents.
Abdulloeva and Rahmani also won the consolation third place doubles title defeating opponents from Shaw and Mount Olive 6-0 and 6-4.
