Abdulloeva and Brice Named USA South Women's Tennis Player & Doubles Team of the Week

The USA South Conference has named sophomore Fariza Abdulloeva as the Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Monday for the matches from Feb. 10-16 while the conference also announced that Abdulloeva and junior Chandler Brice were also named the Women's Doubles team of the week as well.

Women's Tennis Player of the Week

Fariza Abdulloeva, N.C. Wesleyan - The sophomore from Samarkland, Uzbekistan earned a straight-set singles (6-0, 6-0) and doubles victories (8-3) at the number-one positions over opponents from Division II Shaw (NC) in the team's only match last week, a 7-2 win. In doubles, Abdulloeva teamed with Brice to gain the win. 

Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week

Fariza Abdulloeva and Chandler Brice, N.C. Wesleyan - The Battling Lady Bishop duo earned an 8-3 win over opponents from Division II Shaw (N.C.) at the number-one position in the team's only match last week as they helped lead Wesleyan to a 7-2 win in their season opener.

The women return to action on Feb. 26 at Div. II Mount Olive (N.C.).
