N.C. Wesleyan Tabbed as Women's Tennis Preseason USA South East Division Favorite

The USA South Athletic Conference's women's tennis coaches have released their 2022 preseason polls. Each divisional preseason poll only includes votes from coaches within that particular division-only. Head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting. A new addition to the sport of women's tennis within the Conference will be Southern Virginia who enters the League for its first year of membership.

In the East Division, three-time defending Conference Tournament champions, N.C. Wesleyan, sits atop the rankings while in the West, Piedmont is tabbed as the favorite and will look to capture a divisional crown for the fourth consecutive season.

The Lady Bishops, coming off a 10-7 season last year that saw them go undefeated in conference play and advance to the NCAA Regional, will not begin their season until early March when they head down to Orlando to compete in some quality non-conference matches including a couple against D-1 Creighton. They are led by freshamn Kristal Dule, who is coming off a runner-up finish at the ITA Tournament in October and is ranked #7 in the country and #2 in the region.

The 2022 USA South Women's Tournament will being with play-in matches on campus sites before heading to Rome, Georgia and the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College for the remainder of the event. The top-five seeded teams from each division will advance to postseason play.
