Rocky Mount, NC - North Carolina Wesleyan University would like to welcome Christopher Belcher to the men's and women's track & field and cross country coaching staff. Coach Belcher comes to Bishop Nation as a full-time professional track and field athlete as well as a coach. Coach Dunn had this to say about Coach Belcher" Coach Belcher will reiterate the same coaching philosophy and level of professionalism that I believe he was taught in the winning system that has garnered 2022 Men's Division 1 NCAA Indoor National Championships Runner Ups, 17 MEAC conference championship titles, 1 Big South Championship, 2 Olympians, 12 combined individual/relay NCAA champions and 142 All-American honors. I knew when that one-day Belcher would be an outstanding coach and a top-notch mentor to student-athletes."

Coach Chris currently is a professional track and field athlete signed with Adidas and was formally signed with Nike for 6 years. He also continues to train for the 2024 Olympic Trials. Chris's professional and collegiate accolades include the 2019 World Relays Gold Medalist in the Men's 4x200 meter, two World Championship teams for USA (London 17' & Doha 19'), 2017 NCAA Division I Bronze medal for Men's 4x100 with a time of 38.47, 2017 NCAA Division I Bronze medal in the 100-meter dash (9.93), 2017 Division I NCAA 6th in meter dash (20.01).

Coach Chris has a Bachelors' degree from North Carolina A&T University in Liberal Studies in 2018. Belcher was a volunteer assistant
