Rocky Mount, N.C. - Wesleyan's volleyball team ended the 2015 season on Saturday by hosting a USA South Play Day in Everett Gym. Prior to their final match, the Bishops paid tribute to their lone senior, Kayla White (pictured center), who was unable to play due to injury.

The day began with a tough 3-2 loss to Ferrum College. After dropping the first two sets, the Bishops battled back for 25-23 and 25-15 wins in the third and fourth to force a deciding set. Unfortunately, the Panthers racked up nine kills to the Bishops' four en route to a 15-10 set and match win.

Juniors Tori Stewart and Evie Hunter each reached double-digit kills with 13 and 12, respectively. Libero Christina Huber managed 25 digs, and Ayla Brewer had 36 assists.

The last match of the day featured the Bishops and North Division champion Averett. Wesleyan took the first set 25-22, and after dropping the second, nearly took three and four before falling by 25-23 and 25-21 scores.

Stewart and Hunter again paced Wesleyan's offense by combining for 26 kills. Huber had 21 digs and Brewer 40 assists.

After winning five straight midway through October, three of the Bishops' final six matches were heartbreaking 3-2 decisions. Wesleyan ends the season with a 9-19 overall record.
