Stewart, Hunter Earn USA South Volleyball Postseason Awards

Rocky Mount, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its 2015 All-Conference awards for volleyball, with a total of 35 student-athletes earning accolades. N.C. Wesleyan had a pair of athletes garner recognition as juniors Tori Stewart and Evie Hunter were honored.

Stewart was named an Honorable Mention All-Conference performer for the first time in her career, marking the first time since 2012 that a Bishop player has earned such recognition. Stewart led the team in kills with 286 this fall and ranked in the top-10 in the conference in kills-per-set at 2.75. She added 275 digs, 52 blocks, and 38 service aces to complete a solid all-around season.

Hunter was named to the USA South All-Sportsmanship team after serving as team captain. She ranked second to Stewart with a career-high 196 kills, while adding 331 digs.

Elsewhere around the league, Averett's Hannah Shields was named the Player of the Year, while her teammate Keenan Marks earned Rookie of the Year honors. Methodist's Karly Klimas was named Libero of the Year, and Covenant's Joanna Ehman collected Coach of the Year accolades.
