Huber Picks Up Second Defensive Player of the Week Nod

Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South has released its weekly awards for September 26th, and North Carolina Wesleyan is pleased to announce that senior libero Christina Huber of volleyball has earned the league's Defensive Player of the Week award for the second time this season.

Huber, a native of Virginia Beach, averaged 5.5 digs per set as the Bishops posted a 3-2 record last week. Huber began the week with 16 digs versus Randolph-Macon, then in a 3-0 win over USA South foe Huntingdon, she collected 24 digs and two assists. In a 3-1 loss to Agnes Scott, Huber compiled 22 digs, and she followed up with nine digs, two assists, two service aces, and one kill in NCWC's sweep of LaGrange. Finally, in a 3-0 win over USA South rival Piedmont, she contributed 17 digs and four assists.
