Mike Armbruster is in his fourth year as Assistant Athletic Director and Internal Operations Head.

Prior to Wesleyan, Armbruster served as the Director of Athletic Operations for eight years at the University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima, OH. He also served as the school's Head Women's Basketball Coach for four seasons, and Assistant Men's Basketball Coach for eight seasons. In 2014, Armbruster had the opportunity to serve as the Sports Information Director for the UNOH Baseball and Softball programs.

"Mike's extensive operations experience, engaging demeanor, and passion for students continues to serve N.C. Wesleyan well," shared Vice President of Athletics Aaron Denton. "He is a hard worker with valuable expertise in growing athletic programs and serving coaches. I'm excited about Mike's continued impact on improving the student-athlete experience at Wesleyan."

Armbruster's responsibilities include executing all daily operational matters relating to Wesleyan's sixteen athletic programs, student-athletes and coaching staffs. He serves as the primary liaison with institutional departments, alumni, and the public.

Armbruster achieved his M.B.A, magna cum laude, from UNOH in 2017 while he earned his B.A in Business Administration from UNOH as well in 2010. He currently resides in Rocky Mount with his wife Brittany.
