The Battling Bishop lacrosse squad dropped a heartbreaking 8-7 decision at LaGrange College on Saturday afternoon, which was followed by a 14-3 defeat at the hands at Agnes Scott on Sunday. Freshman Krissy Brannon led Wesleyan's offense with a trio of goals over the two-game span.

Versus LaGrange, the Panthers took a 4-3 lead into the break as Laine Hicks, Sacejewia Evans and Brannon all tallied scores for the Bishops. Wesleyan later led 5-4, 6-5 and 7-6 in the second half thanks to another tally by Brannon and pair of Courtney Jamieson goals.

Unfortunately, LaGrange would even the score at 7-7 with 4:05 remaining, and the Panthers' Tiffany Dillard netted her first goal of the contest with 29 seconds left to send the Bishops to a heartbreaking defeat.

NCWC held a 31-23 advantage in shots and a 10-6 edge in draw controls. Bishop keeper Casey Burd finished with eight saves on the match.

Agnes Scott then earned a 14-3 win over Wesleyan on Sunday. ASC forged a 9-2 lead at intermission and held the Bishops to only one goal in the final 30 minutes of play. Hicks, Brannon and freshman Paige Brooks all netted goals for the Bishops, while Burd tallied 11 saves in goal.

Wesleyan is now 0-3 on the season, all in USA South play. The Bishops return to action at home on Wednesday when they host Millsaps College at 4:30pm.
