Rocky Mount - The N.C. Wesleyan lacrosse program fell in two hard-fought USA South affairs to Southern Virginia and Huntingdon over the weekend.

How it Happened (SVU):

Lailah Espinal recorded all three goals for the Battling Bishops in the contest.

Wesleyan tied SVU in the 2nd quarter at 2-2 and gained valuable momentum heading into the intermission

The Bishops would also record more saves and draw controls than SVU for the afternoon.
How it Happened (Huntingdon):
- Wesleyan won the 4th quarter against Huntingdon 3-1 to stage a late comeback against the Hawks
- Blaire Hrley and Lailah Espinal both recorded two goals on the afternoon and accounted for a majority of Bishop goals.
- Nakayla Chatman picked up three ground balls in the hard-fought affair as well.
- Sunday's game marked the annual Morgan's Message game for the program as the team brought light to the importance of mental health in collegiate athletics.
