Hornet Lacrosse Picks Up 17-2 Win over NCWC

Rocky Mount, N.C. - In Saturday's USA South lacrosse action, Shenandoah University picked up a 17-2 victory over North Carolina Wesleyan at Scalf Field. The Hornets raced out to a 12-0 halftime lead and did not look back en route to their sixth victory of the season.

SU got three goals apiece from Corrinne Kosmowski, Samantha Sisson and Liz Grover. Sisson's first goal (the Hornets' third of the match) came less than two minutes in and proved to be the gamewinner.

Connor Wright and Julia Smith each tallied unassisted scores for the Bishops, while Casey Burd recorded ten saves in goal. The Hornets held a 33-5 advantage in shots and an 18-3 lead in draw controls.

The Bishops (0-5, 0-4 USA South) travel to Ferrum College on Thursday for a 4:30pm match-up with the Panthers.
