Rocky Mount, N.C. - Senior Ashley Marks managed a trio of goals on Saturday afternoon, but her Battling Bishops would again come up short, falling to LaGrange College by a 15-7 score at Scalf Field. Marks, who currently leads the team with 16 goals on the season, was honored prior to the match as the team's lone senior.

The Bishops jumped out to a 3-1 lead over the Panthers as Marks and freshman Haley Hopkins netted a pair of Wesleyan goals in the first five minutes. LaGrange got on the board at the 21:53 mark, but Marks answered with her second score just 34 seconds later, prompting a Panther timeout. LaGrange returned from the stoppage to net six of the match's next seven goals for a 7-4 halftime lead.

The Panthers went on to out-score the Bishops 8-3 in the second half. Sophomore Tikeyah Shaw got NCWC as close as 7-5 early in the period, but LC used a 7-0 run to put the match out of reach. Laine Hicks tallied the Bishops' final two scores with a pair of free position shots.

LaGrange out-shot Wesleyan 33-22 on the day and held a slim 26-22 advantage in ground balls. Bishop goalie Marissa Santos made 12 saves, while LC's Chelsea Totaro managed eight stops.

Wesleyan wraps up its 2013 season at home on Wednesday when the Bishops host nationally-ranked Christopher Newport at 3:00pm.
