GREENSBORO, N.C. – Charlotte "Lottie" Meadows has been named Greensboro College's head women's lacrosse coach, Acting Director of Athletics Dr. Robin Daniel announced on Monday.

"Lottie's enthusiasm and passion for lacrosse and coaching is infectious," Daniel said. "It's exciting to have a young coach with her attitude and energy join our athletic program."

Meadows brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for women's lacrosse to Greensboro College after serving as an assistant coach at North Carolina Wesleyan College for the past two seasons, where she served as the program's recruiting coordinator and also developed the Bishops workout and conditioning programs.

In addition to her coaching experience at North Carolina Wesleyan, Meadows served as a camp coach at Meredith College and Athens Drive High School, while also serving as a middle school and varsity coach with the North Carolina Lacrosse Academy.

"While we are sad to lose Lottie as an asset to our program and will miss her greatly, we are excited for her future as a head coach," commented head Wesleyan Coach Bridget Walker. "I'm confident that she will grow her program and we can't wait to see her on the field this spring."

A national search has begun for the next assistant coach of Bishop women's lacrosse.

Prior to joining the collegiate coaching ranks, Meadows was a successful midfielder at Meredith College, where she was a part of the program's inaugural team in 2013. During her time with the Angels, Meadows help lead the Angels to back-to-back USA South Conference Championships and NCAA berths in 2014 and 2015. She served as a team captain for three seasons, while recording 105 goals and 34 assists. For her performance on the field, Meadows was named to the USA South Athletic Conference's Honorable Mention All-Conference team in 2013 before earning second-team accolades in 2015.

"I am honored, as well as excited, to accept the head women's lacrosse coach position at Greensboro College," Meadows stated. "I can't wait to be a part of this passionate community and look forward to developing this program to its fullest potential.

"I would like to thank Dr. Robin Daniel, Coach Randy Tuggle, and Mrs. Jena Miller, as well as the rest of the search committee, for this opportunity and believing in my ability to lead the women's lacrosse program not only on the field, but off the field as well," continued Meadows. "I am extremely grateful for those who have supported me through this process and taught me an exponential amount during my coaching career thus far. I look forward to getting started this January and creating a successful program."

Meadows graduated from Meredith College with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science in 2015, while concentrating on Health and Wellness.
