The USA South Athletic Conference's women's lacrosse coaches have released their 2020 preseason poll. Head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting.
NC Wesleyan was selected to finish 8th out of 12 teams in the balloting with 50 points while six time champ Meredith College was first with 11 first place votes. The Lady Bishops, who recorded their most wins in school history last season, will open their regular season on Feb. 12 at Sweet Briar College in Virginia. Their home opener is set for Feb. 26 against Guilford at 4:00 PM.
The 2020 USA South Women's Lacrosse Tournament will feature the top-six seeded teams. First round contests will be hosted by the third and fourth seeded teams on Tuesday, April 21. The two top seeds as well as the winners of the first round games will advance to Rocky Mount, North Carolina as a part of the USA South Spring Sports Festival hosted by the City of Rocky Mount. The semifinals will take place on Friday, April 24 at Scalf Field on the campus of N.C. Wesleyan College. The winners will advance to the championship game which will occur on Sunday, April 26 at the Rocky Mount Athletic Complex Football Stadium.
