RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College lacrosse team fell 25-6 to 25th ranked Meredith College on the road Wednesday evening.

#25 Meredith ran out to a quick 8-0 lead after the first five minutes of action before Wesleyan struck with their first goal from freshman attacker Blaire Harley on an assist from senior midfielder Ali Cucinotta. MC would then score six more goals to go up 14-1 and put the game out of reach. Wesleyan would add two unassisted goals from Cucinotta at the end of the half, however.

Cucinotta would then score two more goals in the second half unassisted before finally assisting on the Bishop's final goal of the game when junior midfielder Madeline Graham scored in the final minute.

NCWC was led by Cucinotta who scored 4 goals with 2 assists while recording 5 ground ball pickups, two draw control wins and 3 caused turnovers. Harley also won two draws while sophomore defender Ayanna Walker caused two turnovers and recorded a GB.

First-time goalie Alissa Avery also made 6 saves and grabbed two ground balls as the Bishops fall to 2-8 overall and 0-4 in the Division. Meredith now improves to 7-1 and 4-0 in the East.
