USA South Releases Academic All-Conference TeamJune 01, 2012The USA South Athletic Conference has released its 2011-2012 Academic All-Conference Team, and North Carolina Wesleyan is pleased to announce that 58 Battling Bishops have garnered recognition.

Athletics Hosts 47th Annual Awards CeremonyApril 17, 2012The North Carolina Wesleyan Department of Athletics hosted its 47th Annual Awards Ceremony on Monday, April 16th, in the Garner Lobby of the Dunn Center. Coaches, staff and student-athletes came together to celebrate the accomplishments of both individuals and teams from the 2011-2012 season. Among those athletes and teams, NCWC boasted 50 USA South All-Conference selections, three USA South Championships, two Players of the Year, one Coach of the Year and one NCAA tournament berth. Highlighting the night’s winners were the honors given for the Male and Female Student-Athlete of the Year, along with the Male and Female Athlete of the Year.

Bishop Athletes Support Worthy Initiatives This FallDecember 01, 2011The North Carolina Wesleyan Department of Athletics has highlighted a variety of community service projects that our Battling Bishops undertook this fall. In addition to the department's yearly 9/11 initiative, Cans Across the Conference and elementary reading programs, several teams participated in unique projects that surely benefited our student-athletes.

Staylor, Edwards Earn All-Conference RecognitionNovember 03, 2011The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its 2011 All-Conference awards for women's soccer with North Carolina Wesleyan freshman Rebecca Staylor earning a Third Team selection. Senior defender Kasie Edwards was also tabbed an Honorable Mention.

Soccer Season Ends at CNU in Tourney First RoundNovember 01, 2011North Carolina Wesleyan saw its women's soccer season come to an end on Tuesday night as the 8th-seeded Bishops fell at top-seeded Christopher Newport by a 4-1 score in the first round of the 2011 USA South Tournament.

Trio of Bishops Earn USA South Weekly AwardsOctober 25, 2011The USA South Athletic Conference has released its weekly awards for October 24th, and three Battling Bishops earned accolades in their respective sports. Dwayne Hollis was tabbed football's Special Teams Player of the Week, while Alberto Faisca of men's soccer was named Defensive Player of the Week. On the women's side, freshman Rebecca Staylor picked up her second Rookie of the Week award in women's soccer.
