Rocky Mount, N.C. - On Senior Night in Everett Gymnasium, it was the Pride of Greensboro College who came out on top, 93-86, in a back-and-forth league tilt with the Battling Bishops of North Carolina Wesleyan. The game was the final home contest for seniors Julian Martin, Cornelius Snow and Brandon Givens, who were recognized prior to tip-off.

The Bishops (14-8, 6-6 USA South) shot over 53 percent from the floor in the first half, but it was Greensboro that held a slim 44-40 lead at the break.

Wesleyan completely erased the deficit with a strong start to the second half, forging a 65-58 lead at the 12:54 mark thanks to a 19-6 run that was capped by a Jesse Simpson three-pointer.

The Pride (12-8, 6-5 USA South) responded with a 7-0 run to force the game's seventh tie, later using an 11-0 run to go up 79-71 with 5:47 remaining. NCWC got no closer than four points the rest of the way.

Givens finished with a game-high 29 points, while sophomore Chris Ford chipped in 11 off the bench. Luqman Tijani paced four Pride players in double-figures with 26.

Wesleyan returns to action on Friday night at William Peace University. Tip-off is slated for 7:00pm in Raleigh.
