Bishop Men Fall at Coastal Carolina

CONWAY, S.C. - The NC Wesleyan men's basketball team dropped their non-conference game at Div. I foe Coastal Carolina University 117-68 on the road Saturday evening.

Wesleyan shot 45 percent from the field overall and 47 percent from three-point range led by 23 points from senior Damon McDowell while he also added 4 assists, 3 rebounds, and two steals in the game.

Coastal shot the ball very well throughout the game going 60 percent from the three-point arc and 67 percent from the floor overall.

Junior forward Isaiah Lewis was also in double figures with 11 points along with 4 rebounds and 2 assists while freshman forward Drake Thompson also scored 9 points. Freshman Kyron Kelly scored 6 points as well while sophomore Brayden Dixon pulled down 4 rebounds and scored 5 points.

The Bishops will next travel to nearby Greenville for a game against Div. I East Carolina on Tuesday at 5:00.
