Manleys 20 Lead Bishops To Victory Over Raptors

Camden, NJ – The North Carolina Wesleyan University Men's Basketball team traveled north to New Jersey to face the Scarlet Raptors of Rutgers-Camden. The Bishops claimed victory with a score of 76 to 47, as the Bishops continue their 5-game win steak. 

The Battling Bishops scored the first four points of the game and did not look back as the Battling Bishops not once trailed the Scarlet Rapters. The Bishops shot 47% from the floor and 57% from the free throw line in the first half to take 38 to 27 going into halftime

The second half saw the Battling Bishops take a 10-0 run on the Scarlet Raptors to extend the lead by the game high 30 points to bring the final score to 76 to 47.

NCWU scored 24 points in the paint and scored 18 points off turnovers, adding 19 points off second chance while the bench scored 38 points. 

Leading the way for the Bishops was Austin Manley, the junior from Apex, NC, who was on fire the entire game scoring an impressive 20 points for the Bishops, shooting 7 of 10 from the floor, while being 6 of 9 from behind the arc. Behind Manley was Bishops' Brayden Dixon, the senior from Charlotte, NC,  and Khalid Hines, the junior from Greensboro, NC, who both added 10 points. Behind the Bishop's defense was  Isaiah Lewis, who scored 9 points while adding 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks, and Sal-Bey Young with 8 points and adding an impressive 9 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocks.
