Pacers Defeat Bishops, 80-78

Raleigh, NC – The North Carolina Wesleyan University Men's Basketball team traveled to Raleigh to play the Pacers of William Peace University; the Bishops saw defeat by a score of 80 to 78.

In a tightly contested game with multiple ups and downs, there were eight ties and fourteen lead changes. The Bishops outscored and led in many statistical categories; however, the Pacers lived on their 39 points scored from behind the arc shooting 13 of 29 for 44%.

The Bishops had four players scoring in double digits; while one of those Bishops landed a double-double. Isaiah Lewis, the senior from Knightdale, NC, had himself a double-double with an impressive 18 points and 13 rebounds. Khalid Hines, the junior from Greensboro, NC, scored 15 points off a 7 of 9 shooting performance, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Brayden Dixon, the senior from Charlotte, NC, scored 15 points off a 5 of 10 shooting performance and 3 of 4 from behind the arc. Kyron Kelly, the junior from Fayetteville, NC, scored 10 points off a 5 of 6 shooting performance.

The Bishops are now 10-4 for the season and will host the Tornadoes of Brevard College this Saturday at 4:00PM in their own Everett Gymnasium.
