Hinds Huge Day Leads Bishops to OT Thriller Win Against Greensboro

The Bishops kept the weekend rolling on Sunday, hosting Greensboro College at Everett Gymnasium. The story of the game, Khalid Hines, who recorded 29 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists while playing 42 of the game's 45 minutes. On top of the balanced stat sheet, Hinds could not be stopped on the dribble drive and enforced his will in the paint. 

Trailing at the break, the Bishops were outrebounded by nine, but halftime adjustments proved key for Coach Thompson and his squad. Coming out of the break, the Bishops flipped the script and won the rebound battle in the 2nd half 15-14 and also shot 90% from the line in the second half.

Forcing OT, Wesleyan won the overtime period 14-4 with stifling defense while shooting 83% for the extra period.

Other notable performances for the Bishops were Maquis Eskew with 10 points and Isaiah Lewis with 14 while recording 6 rebounds to his name. Manley also provided the Bishops his reliable 3 point shooting off the bench recording 17 points and making four 3's. 

Next up is Southern Virginia on Saturday, January 28th at 4 pm when the basketball program will hold the annual Sneakers and Suites v.s. Cancer game where the basketball staff will be wearing special shoes and suites honoring cancer survivors.
