Rocky Mount, N.C. - Senior Rebecca Staylor scored four goals and dished out two assists to lead her Battling Bishop women's soccer team to a pair of non-conference victories at Scalf Field over the weekend. Wesleyan downed Randolph College by a 5-2 score on Saturday, then wrapped up play with a dominating 7-0 win over Hollins University on Sunday. The Bishops are now 3-1 on the season.

On Saturday versus Randolph, Staylor netted her first two goals of the season in the 21st and 28th minutes off of assists from freshmen Julia Rebellon and Amanda Mazza. Freshman Stephanie Stallings followed with her first collegiate goal at the 35:37 mark off a deflected shot by sophomore Ashley Sankner, giving NCWC a 3-0 lead at the break. Stallings' tally would prove to be the eventual gamewinner.

In the second half, another Stallings goal off a Staylor feed was sandwiched by a pair of long Wildcat scores, while Rebellon rounded at the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 85th minute.

Freshman keeper Sarah Hovis picked up the win, making three saves on eight shots. Wesleyan out-shot Randolph 17-8 on the day.

On Sunday against Hollins, it was all Bishops as six different players scored goals. Staylor tallied the gamewinner just nine minutes in off a Hannah Tolson assist, and she later assisted on junior Sarah Olsowski's one-time at the 21:05 mark. Sophomore Kelly Cranick (26' from Jade Gold), Staylor (26' from Rebellon), Gold (30' from Cranick) and Ashley Dunn (38' from Diamond Ridgeway) made it 6-0 at the half.

Freshman Shayla Thorne netted the only goal in the second half off an assist from senior Danielle Hickman, while rookie keeper Ashley Major secured her first shutout in goal.

Wesleyan returns to action on Wednesday with a 5:00pm road match at Salem College.
