Greensboro, N.C. / Raleigh, N.C. - Junior Ella Burkhart assisted a pair of scores to lead her Bishop women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory at William Peace University on Sunday. Coupled with Saturday's scoreless draw at Greensboro, Wesleyan completes the regular season with a 10-5-2 overall record, which includes a 9-4-1 mark in USA South play.

Sunday's regular season finale at WPU saw the Bishops get on the board early when Marissa Aguilar booted home a cross from Burkhart for a 1-0 lead in the 8th minute. NCWC struck again in the 53rd minute when a Burkhart corner resulted in a score by junior Hannah Tolson.

The Bishops dominated the shot count 29-1, but Pacer keeper Shannon Maddex racked up 12 saves on the day to limit the damage to 2-0.

Previously on Saturday, junior goalkeeper Ashley Major made five saves to secure a tie with the Pride. The Bishops, who held a 13-8 edge in shots, managed four shots-on-goal but were unable to net the gamewinner.

Wesleyan will now await seeding and opponent information for this week's USA South Tournament that kicks off on Wednesday. Stay tuned to www.ncwcsports.com for updates.
