Women's Soccer Falls at Mary Washington

Fredericksburg, Va. - The NC Wesleyan College Women's Soccer team fell 3-0 on the road at the University of Mary Washington (Va.) in non-conference action on Wednesday.

UMW got on the board near the end of the first half scoring in the 41st minute to lead 1-0 at the break. The Eagles then added to their lead with goals in the 57th and 73rd minutes of the second half while holding the Bishops to just 3 shots in the game. 

Junior goalkeeper Alicia Jacobs led the Bishops with 9 saves on 12 shots on goal while senior Naniiya Brown, freshman Madison Sullivan and sophomore Alyssa Brookhart all attempted shots.

Wesleyan falls to 1-4 on the season while UMW improves to 2-4.

The Bishops are back in action on Sunday when they return home to host another non-conference foe in Washington & Lee at 3 PM at Scalf Field.
