ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College women's soccer team fell 2-0 at home to Greensboro College in their spring season opener on Sunday.

Greensboro scored early in the game in the 7th minute to take a quick 1-0 lead on a goal from Angela Niles. The Pride then added another goal from Niles early in the second half at the 50 minute mark to increase their lead.

NCWC could then not quite find their offense against the quality conference opponent as they got just three shots off. Senior goalkeeper Alicia Jacobs made seven saves on nine shots on goal for the Bishops while sophomores Rhea Wilder and Isabel Neall each got shots on goal.

Greensboro improves to 2-0 overall while Wesleyan falls to 0-1.

The Lady Bishops will remain home and host William Peace next Saturday at 2 PM.
