Misenheimer, NC – The North Carolina Wesleyan Women's Soccer team traveled to face the
Falcons of Pfeiffer and came away with a 4-0 road win to bring their record to 6-6 for the season.
The Battling Bishops offense was hot from the very beginning of the match as Bishops
Samantha Dell, the freshman from Falls Church, VA, scored the first goal of the match at the
five-and-a-half-minute mark. Following her lead was Bishops Sophia Sweeney, the senior from
Wake Forest, NC, would add another unassisted goal at the thirty-minute mark to give the
Bishops a 2-Nil score heading into halftime.
Second half was another strong offensive performance by the Battling Bishops with
Caitlyn Butler, the sophomore from Remington, VA, scoring with an assist from Samantha Dell
at the sixty-second minute mark of the match. Bishops Samantha Dell would add another assist
at the seventy-minute mark with a goal by Eden Whiteside, the freshman from Jefferson, VA .
Senior Anna Yeakey, the goalkeeper from Wake Forest, NC, would see two shots on goal with two
saves.
The Bishops will face the Pride of Greensboro this weekend October 15th.
