Buena Vista, VA – The North Carolina Wesleyan Women's Soccer team traveled to Southern

Virginia University this Saturday, October 1st and fell short 5-Nil.

The match went back and forth between both teams until Makinna Winterton from Southern

Virginia got on the scoreboard first at the thirty-second-minute mark of the match. Five minutes

later Madison Sollis would add another goal for the Knights to make the score 2-Nil going into

the half in favor of Southern Virginia.

The second half saw three more goals added from Southern Virginia from Maybel Harris at the

fifty-third minute, Laykn Hansen at minute sixty, and Morgan Romney at the eighty-fourth

minute.

The Bishops will face Meredith this upcoming Wednesday, October 5th at their own Don Scalf 

Field.
