Rocky Mount, N.C. - The North Carolina Wesleyan Department of Athletics has announced that second-year head tennis coach Andres Amores will be taking on the added responsibility of coaching women's cross country. The sport, which was recently reinstated after a three-year hiatus, will compete in five events this fall.

Amores is no stranger to the running community.  He joined forces with others on campus this past spring to help organize Wesleyan's First Annual Bishop 5K for a Cause, a fundraising event that helped support the non-profit organization Building Africa. The Quito, Ecuador native now welcomes the opportunity to kickstart the Battling Bishop cross country program in a similar fashion.
