GREENSBORO, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College women's cross country team competed at the Greensboro 5K Invitational on Saturday at Hagen Stone Park and came away with some good results.
Junior Snejana Spinache led the Lady Bishops finishing in 17th place overall out of 37 with a time of 23:46 while she finished 11th among D-2 runners.
D-1 NC Central won the meet while D-2 Winston-Salem St. was second, D-2 Fayetteville St. was third, the Bishops coming in 4th and D-2 Livingstone College in 5th.
Freshman Anna Ray then came in 2nd for the Bishops finishing in 24th place overall with a time of 25:13. Junior Teanna Bellamy then came in right behind her in 25th place in a time of 25:26 while junior Nagisa Ogahara finished 30th in 26:34. Sophomore Angelica Contreras then came in 34th in 30:35 with fellow sophomore Naomi Pilapil coming in 35th in 33:18. Freshman Mariah brooks also competed finishing in a time of 33:27.
The Ladies will next be competing inthe Golden Eagle Invite in New York State on October 10.
