The USA South Athletic Conference's women's cross country coaches have released their 2019 preseason poll. Head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting. Berea College (Ky.) will look to capture its third consecutive Conference title.
The USA South Cross Country Championship will be held in Rocky Mount and hosted by N.C. Wesleyan College on Saturday, November 2. The women's 6,000-meter race is scheduled to begin at 11:00am while the men's 8,000-meter race is scheduled to begin at Noon.
The Lady Bishops cross country team, led by third year coach Marshall Leonard, was selected to finish in 9th place out of 17 conference teams in the preseason poll balloting. Wesleyan is also ranked 4th out of 8 schools in the East Division.
The women begin their season with the 5K Monarchs Classic hosted by Methodist in Fayetteville Saturday morning. The team will return home for their home meet on Sept. 21 here in Rocky Mount for the USA South Preview race.
