Women's XC Selected to Finish 11th in Pre-Conference Poll

The USA South Athletic Conference's women's cross country coaches have released their 2021 pre-championship poll. Southern Virginia, in its first year of Conference membership, was atop the rankings and will head into the upcoming USA South championship meet as the favorites. During last season's COVID-altered spring campaign, the championship was split into divisions as Meredith captured the East Division championship while Covenant earned the West Division title.

The 2021 USA South Women's Cross Country championship will be hosted on the campus of N.C. Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The 6,000-meter event will begin at 10:00am (ET). For more information, view the USA South Meet Website.

The NC Wesleyan women, under first-year coach Bill Dunn, was selected to finish 11th out of 17 teams overall and 6th out of 8 Eastern teams in the Pre-Conference Coaches Poll that was released on Tuesday afternoon.

Head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting.
