Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South has released its weekly awards for October12th, and N.C. Wesleyan is pleased to announce that junior Bobby Tucker has been named the league's Defensive Player of the Week in football.

Tucker, a junior defensive back from Durham, N.C., set a new single-game program record with three interceptions in a 24-7 victory over USA South foe Maryville last week. Additionally, Tucker totaled seven tackles, six of which were solo, one pass break-up and a blocked field goal. Tucker returned his three interceptions for a total of 54 yards.

Also of note, freshman Slade Dale's 59-yard touchdown pass to junior Malik Adams on a reverse is up for the USA South's Play of the Week. Vote now by visiting the following link: http://www.usasouth.net/sports/fball/2015-16/releases/20151012kp814n.
