3 Bishops Named to D3Football All-South Region Teams

Senior middle linebacker and second team All-American Antonio Johnson, senior offensive lineman Breon Foust, and senior tight end Ben Dorfman were all named to one of the three 2019 All-South Region Teams released by D3football.com on Tuesday.

The teams, selected in balloting by South Region sports information directors and D3football.com staff, were chosen from 246 nominations by Division III member schools. A total of 75 players were chosen. Players nominated for All-Region are eligible to be considered for D3football.com All-America honors, which will be announced the evening of Dec. 20, in D3football.com's pregame coverage for Stagg Bowl XLVII.

Johnson, the USA South Defensive Player of the Year, and second team CFB Network All-American, was named to the All-Region Defensive First Team for leading the country in solo tackles and ranking 7th overall in the nation in total tackles with 117 as well as leading the conference in forced fumbles and scoring two defensive touchdowns.

Foust, a senior offensive tackle, was then named to the All-Region Second Team offense for leading the Bishops' offensive line this season as they combined to allow only 7 sacks while helping the team rush for over 1,700 yards and 171 yards/game with 16 touchdowns.

Dorfman was then selected to the All-Region Third Team Offense as he finished the year with 28 catches for 246 yards and 3 touchdowns.
