MARIETTA, OH - The NC Wesleyan College women's basketball team dropped their opening game of the Jim Meagle Holiday Tournament 85-74 to host Marietta College on Sunday evening in Ohio.

Unfortunately, Marietta came out on fire in the third quarter going on a 24-5 run to grab a 13-point advantage at 70-57 after the Bishops had increased their lead to six at 52-46. MC took the third 35-21 while the Bishops still managed to hold the Pioneers to just 13 points in the fourth, but it was not enough as their offense stalled in the loss.
