Rocky Mount, NC - The NC Wesleyan women's basketball team defeated Pfeiffer 74-49 Saturday. Forward Kayrisma Harrison had an impressive double-double with a career-high 21 rebounds and 11 points. 10 of those rebounds came in the first half and the Falcons could not contain her inside.
On defense, the Bishops held the Falcons to just 30 percent shooting and dominated on the boards with a commanding 67-30 rebounding advantage that helped the Bishops cruise to the win.
Junior Areina Harris had a monster game and led the team in scoring with 16 points and contributed 2 rebounds to the contest.
The two teams will rematch on Tuesday night in the first round of the USA South tournament in Rocky Mount. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 PM.
