Wesleyan Dominates Pfeiffer 64-45

Meisenheimer, NC - The North Carolina Wesleyan women's basketball team defeated Pfeiffer Saturday afternoon 64-45. The Bishops got off to a 21-7 advantage in the first quarter and never looked back behind one of the most balanced scoresheets in basketball.

Kayrisma Harrison had 11 points for the afternoon, however, the Bishops had 5 players score 8 points or more and 4 players with at least 7 rebounds. Harrison led the charge in rebounding and got herself another double-double with 11 boards to go along with her 11 points.

Defensively, the Bishops were locked in for the second straight day holding the Falcons to under 35% shooting from the floor and 16% from behind the arc. Wesleyan was also able to force 18 turnovers and in total outrebounded the Falcons 60-31.

The Bishop's next contest will be on Saturday afternoon at home where they will host Southern Virginia to break a tie for second place in the conference. Headed into the big showdown, Wesleyan has now won 12 out of their last 14 contests and 6 out of their last 7 in conference action.
