Trio of Bishops Earn USA South Postseason Accolades

Rome, GA - The USA South has released postseason awards in women's basketball, and a trio of Battling Bishops have earned recognition. Senior Kayrisma "KDot" Harrison (Weldon, NC/Weldon) led the way as a First Team selection and junior Nadia Simmons (Henderson, NC/Vance Charter) was selected to the Second Team. They were joined by senior Nyesha Best (Goldsboro, NC/Eastern Wayne), who was named to the league's All-Sportsmanship team.

Harrison picks up the third All-Conference honor of her career after leading the Bishops in rebounds (9.9 rpg) and FG% (53.8). Both totals ranked in the conference's top-5 overall, as did her 1.2 blocks per contest. She also ranked second on the team with 10.4 points per game.

Simmons led the Bishops in scoring with 12.2 points per game and steals with 1.4 per game.  This is her second conference recognition having received recognition on the All-Sportsmanship team as a sophomore.

Best earns the first postseason award of her career as a member of the All-Sportsmanship squad. She helped anchor the Bishop offense from the point guard position and currently is second on the team with 61 assists on the season.

They have helped lead the Bishops to an 18-7 overall record thus far this season, which includes a 14-4 mark in USA South play and a win in the USA South Tournament first round
